Jengibre, harina y mucho amor

A principios de diciembre mi amiga Susan nos propuso una quedada para hacer galletas navideñas con los niños, y por supuesto ¡dijimos que si! Además de lo bien que se lo iba a pasar y en lo ricas que iba a estar, era una ocasión excelente para tener un recuerdo de nuestros pequeños con las manos en la masa.

La verdad es que se lo pasaron genial, pero también es cierto que entre cortar galletas a su ritmo, siestas de por medio y demás, tardamos todo el día en hacer las galletas. Lo bueno es que en tan grata compañía se nos pasó el tiempo volando.

También hubo tiempo para muchas otras cosas, como probar unas gafas de realidad virtual (madre mía que mareo…), probar galletas, mimos con mamá, fisgar el congelador, decorar el árbol o regar las plantas, entre muchas otras ocurrencias de lo más peregrinas.

Al final salieron muchísimas galletas, así que a parte de comernos unas cuantas, también preparamos paquetitos para dar como regalos a amigos y familia. Al final del post os dejo la receta por si os animais a hacerlas 🙂

Galletas de jengibre:

– 4 tazas de harina
– 1 cucharada de levadura en polvo
– 2 cucharaditas de jengibre molido
– 2 cucharaditas de canela molida
– 1 taza de mantequilla a temperatura ambiente (esto es importante)
-1 taza azúcar Moreno
– 1 huevo grande
– 1/2 taza de miel o melaza

  1. Mezclar bien los ingredientes secos.
  2. Batir la mantequilla con el azúcar hasta que se disuelva completamente, incorporar la miel y el huevo, finalmente incorporar la harina y las especies anteriormente mezcladas.Hay que conseguir una masa homogénea, si está muy pegajosa añadir más harina hasta que quede manejable.
  3. Colocar la masa en una bolsa de plástico tipo zip-lock o un recipiente hermético. Reservar en un lugar fresco pero no nevera durante al menos 2 horas y máximo 6horas (yo si las he metido en nevera). Estirar directamente sobre el papel de horno, o si se pega se puede extender con rodillo entre dos hojas de papel.
  4. Se puede meter en la nevera estirada o congelar antes de cortar con los moldes.
  5. Cortar las galletas
  6.  Precalentar el horno 180 grados y hornear entre 11 y 15 min para piezas grandes y entree 6-8 min para pequeñas o hasta que los bordes se pongan marrones.
